How We Can Help

The purpose of election law is to assure the people’s right to free and equal elections, as guaranteed by our state Constitution. The full exercise of that right demands that the people be given the means to nominate candidates, form political parties and vote for whomever they choose.

Election law is the means by which individuals achieve access to the ballot and also challenge opposing candidates who fail to satisfy the qualifications to be considered for public office. It is the means to challenge voting procedures and access to the polls to make sure the public is able to vote and that their vote is properly counted.

15th Amendment

Section 2.
The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
